7 Things... I've been tagged!!

7 things I CAN do:

1. Keep my son's room organized!! quite an accomplishment with a 3 year old... but I've taught him well and he knows where all of his toys go... there are different drawers for different toys... cars, animals, potato head, action figures, etc...

2. Live on a budget... I'm actually quite comfortable living on a tight budget... Chris isn't quite as comfortable... I'm the saver and he's the spender... but we make it all work out! :)

3. Read really fast... only if I'm interested in the book, but man I can FLY through them!!

4. translate most kid-talk... maybe it's just being a mom... but I can usually understand other kid's babble too!

5. I can still sit my splits!!! (you dancers know what that means...) but hey that's a pretty good accomplishment for someone who hasn't danced for 6 years!!

6. I can drive for hours without falling asleep... I once drove straight to Tennessee from Utah... took 21.5 hours and we only stopped for McDonalds and gas... we had a 3 year old and a 6 month old... it was me and my cousin... I drove the whole way!! insane i know...

7. I can watch my TV shows whenever I want... thanks to having 2 DVRs... haha I don't see how people survive without it!!

7 things I CANNOT do:

1. do crafts... of almost any kind!! I'm just not good at it...

2. make up my own recipes... I can follow a recipe just fine... but i can't just whip something together... partially cuz I'm afraid it will taste awful...

3. handle a messy house... i don't like going to other people's houses if they're messy and my house is cleaned up almost every night before bed... anal yes... but I've got OCD so i can't really help it...

4. read in front of people... don't know why... i just get nervous... I can read just fine, and I'm not afraid to speak in public... but i just can't READ in front of people...

5. can't go more than like 2 days without talking to my mom... while she was in Germany this summer, i nearly lost it!! it was so weird to not talk to her...

6. see very well... my glasses help, but they're not perfect... and my contacts are absolutely perfect but they hurt my eyes sooooo much...

7. stand hearing my alarm go off!! i swear nights go by WAY too fast and i never seem to get quite enough sleep!!

Seven things that I love about Chris:

1. His spiritual beliefs...

.2. His humor.

3. His love and devotion of his family...

4. His height!! Seriously i love having such a tall man!! I'm about 5'7" and he's like 6'3"! I just feel more protected and safe...

5. His ability to be a total DORK and goof off... I love it!

6. The way he is with Coen... He'd seriously do anything for that boy and that means a lot to me... It makes me very happy that I chose such an amazing man for me who also is such a great father to Coen...

7. (He's going to die when he sees this one!!) His love of the outdoors... I grew up in the country and I love doing things like camping (not for a long period of time though) and I love being in the outdoors (just not in the blazing heat)... After I had Coen, all of that changed cuz he had a severe heat sensitivity... It's getting better now, but it's not totally gone... but going camping with my hubby is SO much fun...

Seven things I say most often:

1. HAHA... it's sad, but i text that a LOT... but hey i laugh a lot too!!

2. COEN! (usually when he's getting into trouble or going to get hurt hahaha)

3. Hey Honey... but oddly this goes for Chris AND Coen... So i usually have to say small honey or big honey!! haha

4. Overstock.com... that's where I work, and I end up saying it a lot through out my day!! haha

5. I love you. If this phrase CAN be over used (when it's really meant, not when you're like 13 and saying it to any guy... haha) then I definitely overuse it... I say it ALL the time to Chris and Coen...

6. You're my best friend... it's an inside thing with me and Coen... He'll come up to me and whisper in my ear that I'm his best friend... I don't know how we started this, but we've been saying it to each other for a while now!!

7. lots of bad words that most definitely shouldn't be said in the close proximity of children... sadly i swear like a sailor!! EEK (oh and i say EEK a lot too!!)

7 favorite foods:

1. Mexican food... I'm a sucker for burritos, tacos, nachos... gosh anything with guac or sour cream...

2. Indian food!! Chris got me hooked on it!! the feast at Taj India is basically HEAVEN!!

3. Italian food... I'm a sucker for marinara and parmesan cheese... and garlic bread!!! mmm

4. Fruit!! I'm so addicted to pink lady apples, bananas, cantaloupe, peaches, green grapes... ah i love fruit!!

5. Salads!! With just about anything on them!! i love them all!! (I'll pass on the bleu cheese though!! YUCK!)

6. Roladeen!! But only if my mom makes it!! it's a beef and mustard and onion like gravy over mashed potatoes... but NO ONE makes it like her!! haha

7. Chris's concoctions... steak made with champagne and onion soup mix... pork chops baked with super pulpy orange juice... chicken breasts stuffed with garlic cloves (removed before eating)... seriously i lucked out by getting a man who can whip up just about anything and have it taste great!!

7 celebrity admirations:

1. Brittney Spears... Her life went totally to hell, she admitted she needed help, she got help, and now she seems to be doing sooooooo much better... it makes her seem so much more human...

2. Reese Withorspoon... she's beautiful, survived a divorce with flying colors, and is all for health care reform... gotta love a woman who uses her money for good causes!!

3. Kerri Strug... in the 1996 Olympic games, she won the gold for the women's gymnastic team... she was the last person to go... she needed a 9.4 on the vault (higher score taken between 2 vaults done one after another)... on the first vault, she landed on her butt... limped back to the starting point, obviously in a lot of pain... she ran the second vault, landed perfectly, threw her hands up in the air signalling the end of her vault to the judges and landed on her knees... she got a 9.7 on that vault! freaking awesome showing of endurance and perseverance... so unselfish of an act for her team... she ended up in a cast and had sprained her ankle and heel.

4. Natalie Portman. she's a great actress and graduated from Harvard with a bachelor's degree is psychology. To top all of that off she speaks English, Hebrew, German, French, Japanese, and Arabic. INSANE!!! Plus not too many people get to say that they shacked up with Darth Vader!! haha

5. Drew Barrimore... she grew up in the spot light and turned down a very dark path... was in rehab at the age of 13!! now she's a Goodwill Ambassador against Hunger!! (there are MANY others who do this as well and they also rock... i just have a special place in my heart for people who turn their lives around in such positive ways!!)

6. Christopher Reeves... Having suffered such an incredible injury after being SUPERMAN of all characters, he didn't fall back into the shadows. Until his death he used his injury, celebrity status, and money to help fund research for spinal cord injuries and disorders as well as educate many people on these injuries and disorders... having a little brother with Spina Bifida, this is huge for me... sure during his life time, a cure or quick fix wasn't found, but all his efforts helped greatly!

7. Anyone who can juggle being a parent and a celebrity... I couldn't handle that much attention... so the ones who can make it work and have amazing marriages and amazing families; kudos to them!! there aren't many!!

7 people I'm tagging: Bridget, Ashley (either one!! haha), Jillian, Emilee, Shyanne, Melanie... (you won't hurt my feelings by not doing this, but I'd love to see your answers!!)

I wish you would find time to update your blog more often. At least that way I would have some idea of what is going on in your life. Take care!!!
